ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,455,242, issued on Oct. 28, was assigned to PHOTOTHERMAL SPECTROSCOPY CORP. (Santa Barbara, Calif.).
"Autofluorescence enhanced photothermal infrared spectroscopy" was invented by Craig Prater (Santa Barbara, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods and systems described herein detect autofluorescence of a sample. These methods and systems obviate the need for addition of fluorophores to samples to create IR absorption."
The patent was filed on April 4, 2024, under Application No. 18/626,595.
