ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,439,812, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to Phillips 66 Co. (Houston).
"Monomers for photovoltaic applications" was invented by Hualong Pan (Bartlesville, Okla.) and Laura Nielsen (Bartlesville, Okla.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method of combining different materials to produce the comonomerwherein X1 and X2 are independently selected from the group consisting of: F, Cl, H, and combinations thereof and wherein R1 is independently selected from unsubstituted or substituted branched alkyls with 1 to 60 carbon atoms and unsubstituted or substituted linear alkyls with 1 to 60 carbon atoms."
