ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 13 -- United States Patent no. 12,522,649, issued on Jan. 13, was assigned to PFIZER INC. (New York).
"Antibody purification" was invented by Timothy Iskra (Derry, N.H.) and Ashley Margaret Sacramo (Cambridge, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Antibody compositions and methods for the purification of antibodies are provided. Purification methods provided involve the use of hydroxyapatite resin (HA) to separate an antibody of interest from one or more impurities."
The patent was filed on Dec. 21, 2023, under Application No. 18/393,420.
