ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,239,569, issued on March 4, was assigned to PERRYDIGMA RESEARCH LTD. (Ramat Hasharon, Israel).
"Catamenial fluid removal" was invented by Shay Joseph Mamo (Ramat HaSharon, Israel), Ran S. Sopher (Ramat Gan, Israel) and Michal Stern-Perry (Ramat Hasharon, Israel).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention provides a device for aspirating uterine fluid of a woman in her period, enabling her, without using tampons, pads or synthetic hormones, to be free of menstrual flow for six or more hours and to be involved in even the most demanding activities entirely undisturbed."
