ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,309,546, issued on May 20, was assigned to Perlisten Audio LLC (Verona, Wis.).
"Directivity pattern control waveguide for a speaker, and speaker including a directivity pattern control waveguide" was invented by Dan Roemer (Oregon, Wis.) and Erik Wiederholtz (New Glarus, Wis.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A speaker having a continuous waveguide on one side of the speaker. The speaker includes a plurality of drivers that are superimposed to project sound into the continuous waveguide. The continuous waveguide is acoustically continuous in multiple dimensions."
The patent was filed on July 15, 2024, under Application No. 18/772,869.
