ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,275,949, issued on April 15, was assigned to PeriphaGen Inc. (Pittsburgh).

"High-transducing HSV vectors" was invented by David M. Krisky (Pittsburgh), James B. Wechuck (Pittsburgh) and James R. Goss (Pittsburgh).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein are high transducing replication defective herpes simplex virus (HSV) vectors of McKrae strain."

The patent was filed on July 26, 2023, under Application No. 18/359,013.
