ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,415,317, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to Peridot Print LLC (Palo Alo, Calif.).
"Depowdering an elastic 3D printed object" was invented by Edward Stanley Ponomarev (San Diego), Stephan Walter Emmenegger (San Diego) and Geoffrey Schmid (San Diego).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In one example, a process for depowdering an elastic object made with a 3D printer using powdered build material includes compressing the object progressively from one end of the object to another end of the object."
The patent was filed on Oct. 19, 2020, under Application No. 18/031,292.
