ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,479,993, issued on Nov. 25, was assigned to Peridot Print LLC (Palo Alto, Calif.).
"Binder agents for three-dimensional printing" was invented by Tienteh Chen (San Diego), Natalie Harvey (Corvallis, Ore.), Cory J. Ruud (Corvallis, Ore.) and Vladek Kasperchik (Corvallis, Ore.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure describes binder agents for printing three-dimensional green body objects, which can include water, an organic co-solvent, a nonionic surfactant, a dihydrazide compound, and latex particles. The nonionic surfactant can include two hydrophilic head groups and two hydrophobic tail groups per molecule."
