US Patent Issued to PERIDOT PRINT on Nov. 11 for "Increasing energy absorption during additive manufacturing" (California, Oregon Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,465,978, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to PERIDOT PRINT LLC (Palo Alto, Calif.).

"Increasing energy absorption during additive manufacturing" was invented by Vladek P. Kasperchik (Corvallis, Ore.), Emre Hiro Discekici (San Diego) and Krzysztof Nauka (Palo Alto, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, an additive manufacturing system is described. The additive manufacturing system includes a build material distributor to deposit powder build material on a surface and an agent distribution system to selectively deposit various colored fusing agents and an ultraviolet absorbing agent...
