ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,358,870, issued on July 15, was assigned to Peloton Therapeutics Inc. (Dallas).

"Solid dispersions and pharmaceutical compositions comprising a substituted indane and methods for the preparation and use thereof" was invented by Christopher Lindemann (Fort Collins, Colo.) and Peter J. Stengel (Longmont, Colo.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided herein are solid dispersions comprising a HIF-2Alpha inhibitor, pharmaceutical compositions comprising the solid dispersions, and methods for treating HIF-2Alpha-mediated diseases and conditions."

The patent was filed on Oct. 23, 2019, under Application No. 17/286,581.
