ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,228,380, issued on Feb. 18, was assigned to PEARSON ENGINEERING Ltd. (Newcastle upon Tyne, Great Britain).
"Mine clearance" was invented by Jonathan Taylor (Newcastle upon Tyne, Great Britain), Richard Cronk (Newcastle upon Tyne, Great Britain) and Simon Gilroy (Newcastle upon Tyne, Great Britain).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A deployable mine clearance device is provided and comprises one or more blade members that are movable from a stowed position to a deployed position."
