US Patent Issued to Pathy Medical on Dec. 30 for "Lighted electrocautery blade assembly for handheld electrosurgical instrument" (Connecticut, New York Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,508,064, issued on Dec. 30, was assigned to Pathy Medical LLC (Shelton, Conn.).

"Lighted electrocautery blade assembly for handheld electrosurgical instrument" was invented by Gennady Kleyman (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Mikiya Silver (New Haven, Conn.) and Vinod V. Pathy (Madison, Conn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A lighted electrocautery blade assembly is disclosed for attachment to a handheld electrosurgical instrument, which includes a housing having an LED light assembly at a distal end thereof for illuminating a surgical site, and an electrode operatively associated with the housing and including a distal portion defining an electrocautery...
