ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,377,044, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to Panther Life Sciences Corp. (Normandy Park, Wash.).

"Method and device for transdermal delivery of parathyroid hormone using a microprojection array" was invented by Parminder Singh (Union City, Calif.), Danir Bayramov (Irvine, Calif.), Guohua Chen (Sunnyvale, Calif.) and Robert Wade Worsham (Sutter Creek, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method and a drug delivery system for transdermally administering parathyroid hormone (PTH) in a pulsatile fashion are provided, where the drug delivery system comprises an array of microprojections each comprising PTH."
