ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,330,948, issued on June 17, was assigned to Pallidus Inc. (Albany, N.Y.).

"SiC volumetric shapes and methods of forming boules" was invented by Douglas M Dukes (Troy, N.Y.), Glenn Sandgren (Ambler, Pa.), Andrew R Hopkins (Houston), Isabel Burlingham (Troy, N.Y.) and Mark S Land (Houston).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Volumetric shapes of SiC starting materials for boule growth.
