US Patent Issued to Pac-Dent on June 3 for "Prophy angle with splatter guard" (American, Chinese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,318,259, issued on June 3, was assigned to Pac-Dent Inc. (Brea, Calif.).

"Prophy angle with splatter guard" was invented by Daniel Wang (Brea, Calif.), Chunyu Wang (Brea, Calif.) and Jian Li (Suzhou, China).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A prophy angle with a splatter guard. The splatter guard is provided in the form of a partial cylinder extending along the side of the prophy cup."

The patent was filed on Sept. 13, 2024, under Application No. 18/885,528.
