US Patent Issued to Outdoor Wireless Networks on Sept. 9 for "System and method for communicating between a radio and a virtual baseband unit which are incompatible" (Virginia Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,413,651, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to Outdoor Wireless Networks LLC (Richardson, Texas).

"System and method for communicating between a radio and a virtual baseband unit which are incompatible" was invented by Khalid W. Al-Mufti (Sterling, Va.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Techniques are provided for transforming, using at least one translation library, data communicated between a radio and a virtual baseband unit having incompatible data protocols."

The patent was filed on Jan. 18, 2024, under Application No. 18/416,563.
