ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,447,863, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to Our Next Energy Inc. (Novi, Mich.).
"Supplying power to an electric vehicle" was invented by Mujeeb Ijaz (West Bloomfield, Mich.) and Brian Moorhead (Westland, Mich.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A power supply system that utilizes a hybrid architecture to enable low cycle-life, high energy density chemistries to be used in rechargeable batteries to extend the range of a traction battery."
The patent was filed on Nov. 13, 2023, under Application No. 18/388,989.
