ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,297,079, issued on May 13, was assigned to Otis Elevator Co. (Farmington, Conn.).

"Roller speed sensor with magnets and sensors" was invented by Yu Pu (Farmington, Conn.) and Justin Billard (Amston, Conn.).
