ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,324,766, issued on June 10, was assigned to OstomyCure AS (Oslo, Norway).
"Lid for medical implant" was invented by Mats Erik Kindahl Cardell (Sollentuna, Sweden), Erik Elwing (Jonkoping, Sweden) and Jimmy Carl Henrik Gido Schon (Ballstad, Norway).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A lid for a medical implant has a first part, a second part and engaging means. The second part is rotatable relative to the first part such that, in use, rotation of the second part relative to the first part causes the engaging means to engage with and attach the lid to the implant."
