ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,396,824, issued on Aug. 26, was assigned to Ortho Organizers Inc. (Carlsbad, Calif.).
"Orthodontic archwire" was invented by David Paquette (Mooresville, N.C.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An orthodontic archwire is configured to treat a number of malocclusions. The archwire has a straight anterior section between a first posterior section and a second posterior section. The first posterior section and the second posterior section each have multiple radii of curvature and are mirror images of each other."
The patent was filed on Oct. 15, 2020, under Application No. 17/071,903.
