ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,448,447, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to Orionis Biosciences Inc. (Waltham, Mass.) and Orionis Biosciences BV (Ghent, Belgium).

"CD8 binding agents" was invented by Nikolai Kley (Newton, Mass.), Jan Tavernier (Balegem, Belgium), Lennart Zabeau (Ghent, Belgium) and Erik Depla (Ghent, Belgium).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates, in part, to agents that bind CD8 and their use as therapeutic and diagnostic agents.
