ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,258,295, issued on March 25, was assigned to ORANO DEMANTELEMENT (Chatillon, France) and UNIVERSITE GUSTAVE EIFFEL (Champs-sur-Marne, France).

"Thiosulfates for use as retarders for magnesium phosphate cement pastes" was invented by Lavinia Stefan (Saint Germain en Laye, France), Thierry Chaussadent (Paris) and Hela Bessaies-Bey (Mets, France).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A use of a thiosulfate as a retarder for a cement paste comprising a magnesium phosphate cement."

The patent was filed on Dec. 8, 2020, under Application No. 17/757,634.
