ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,339,472, issued on June 24, was assigned to ORAFOL AMERICAS INC. (Avon, Conn.).

"Concave polygonal aperture cornercube prisms and methods thereof" was invented by Arthur J. Davis (Schaghticoke, N.Y.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A retroreflector structure with a plurality of cornercube prisms in a sheet and a projected aperture of at least one of the cornercube prisms has a concave polygon shape with at least one interior angle greater than 180deg."

The patent was filed on Oct. 29, 2021, under Application No. 17/514,934.
