ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,316,003, issued on May 27, was assigned to Optisys Inc. (Salt Lake City).

"Dual-band integrated printed antenna feed" was invented by Michael C. Hollenbeck (West Jordan, Utah) and Robert Smith (West Jordan, Utah).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention includes various embodiments of integrated dual-band printed antenna feeds having various combinations of electrical and structural components for use with a prime focus, ring focus, or Cassegrain dish antennas. All of the embodiments of dual-band antenna feeds disclosed herein are configured to be fabricated as a single structure using metal additive manufacturing techniques."
