ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,326,453, issued on June 10, was assigned to OPKO Diagnostics LLC (Woburn, Mass.).

"Compositions and methods for active surveillance of prostate cancer" was invented by Yan Dong (Medford, Mass.), Andrew J. Vickers (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Daniel Sjoberg (New York), Peter T. Scardino (New York) and Hans Lilja (New York).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Aspects of the disclosure relate to improved methods and systems for active surveillance of subject having non-aggressive prostate cancer."
