ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,510,543, issued on Dec. 30, was assigned to OPKO Diagnostics LLC (Woburn, Mass.).
"Prostate antigen standards and uses thereof" was invented by Vincent Linder (Tewksbury, Mass.), Christina Higgins (Southbridge, Mass.) and Kim Pettersson (Turku, Finland).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Aspects of the disclosure relate to improved methods for predicting whether a prostate tissue biopsy obtained from a subject will contain detectable prostate cancer. In some embodiments, the disclosure provides improved prostate antigen standards for quantifying levels of prostate antigens."
