ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,360,918, issued on July 15, was assigned to Onesta IP LLC (Wayne, Pa.).
"Memory pools in a memory model for a unified computing system" was invented by Anthony Asaro (Markham, Canada), Kevin Normoyle (Los Gatos, Calif.) and Mark Hummel (Franklin, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method and system for providing memory in a computer system. The method includes receiving a memory access request for a shared memory address from a processor, mapping the received memory access request to at least one virtual memory pool to produce a mapping result, and providing the mapping result to the processor."
