US Patent Issued to Omnissa on Oct. 14 for "Time-based one time password user interfaces" (Chinese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,445,435, issued on Oct. 14, was assigned to Omnissa LLC (Mountain View, Calif.).

"Time-based one time password user interfaces" was invented by YuPing Wei (Beijing), Bruce Lian Xu (Beijing) and Dong Zhao (Beijing).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed are various embodiments for facilitating user interaction with one time password user interfaces within an authentication application. A QR code can be detected in a UI obtained from an authentication service, and TOTPs generated so that they can be inserted into a context menu generated within the UI of the authentication application."
