ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,422,879, issued on Sept. 23, was assigned to OLYMPUS WINTER & IBE GMBH (Hamburg, Germany).
"Foot switch device" was invented by Andreas Horlle (Berlin).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A foot switch device includes: a housing, a pedal moveably mounted on the housing, a bias element, and a switching device, wherein the pedal is configured to be moveable against a force of the bias element to operate the switching device, and wherein the bias element has a non-linear load deflection curve."
