ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,251,082, issued on March 18, was assigned to OLYMPUS Corp. (Tokyo).
"Endoscope and method for operating endoscope" was invented by Nobuyoshi Asaoka (Tokyo).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An endoscope includes a sensor that can detect a conductive member. Based on a detection result of the conductive member by the sensor, the endoscope can switch between a normal operation mode and an energy-saving operation mode in which power consumption is smaller than power consumption in the normal operation mode."
The patent was filed on Sept. 12, 2022, under Application No. 17/942,568.
