ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,473,809, issued on Nov. 18, was assigned to Oilify New-tech Solutions Inc. (Invermere, Canada).
"Downhole separator" was invented by Jeffrey Charles Saponja (Calgary, Canada) and Robbie Singh Hari (Calgary, Canada).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "There is provided a system for producing hydrocarbon material from a subterranean formation. The system includes a separator for separating gaseous material from reservoir fluid obtained from the subterranean formation. The system is configured to mitigate interference to the separation."
The patent was filed on Feb. 6, 2023, under Application No. 18/165,075.
