ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,416,322, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to Ohio State Innovation Foundation (Columbus, Ohio).
"Drag reducing agents and methods of using thereof" was invented by Lucas Watson (Tucker, Ga.) and Andrew Maxson (Dublin, Ohio).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed are compounds that exhibit switchable turbulent drag reduction as well as aqueous compositions comprising these compounds. Also disclosed are methods of using these compounds and compositions as drag reducers."
The patent was filed on March 5, 2020, under Application No. 16/810,806.
