ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,365,908, issued on July 22, was assigned to Ohalo Genetics Inc. (Aptos, Calif.).

"Polyploid hybrid maize breeding" was invented by Judson Arthur Ward (Watsonville, Calif.), Jason A. Peiffer (Hendersonville, N.C.), Lien Diana Bertier (Santa Cruz, Calif.), Morgan Edward McCaw (Aptos, Calif.), Xingang Wang (Aptos, Calif.) and Benjamin Thomas Berube (Scotts Valley, Calif.).
