ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,456,277, issued on Oct. 28, was assigned to NVIDIA Corp. (Santa Clara, Calif.).
"Determining object orientation from an image with machine learning" was invented by Jonathan Tremblay (Redmond, Wash.), Ming-Yu Liu (San Jose, Calif.), Dieter Fox (Seattle) and Philip Ammirato (Chapel Hill, N.C.).
