ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,328,456, issued on June 10, was assigned to NVIDIA Corp. (Santa Clara, Calif.).
"Dynamic assignment of data stream processing in multi-codec systems" was invented by Swapnil Jagdish Rathi (Pune, India), Viranjan Vishwasrao Pagar (Pune, India), Bhushan Rupde (Pune, India) and Kaustubh Purandare (San Jose, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Systems and methods for improved media stream processing. In at least one embodiment, a media stream is assigned to either a hardware processing engine or software processing engine based on a performance state of an application server and one or more parameters of the media stream."
