ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,367,619, issued on July 22, was assigned to NVIDIA Corp. (Santa Clara, Calif.).

"Image processing using color vision deficiency compensation" was invented by Johan Pontus Andersson (Lund, Sweden), Cyril Crassin (Meylan, France) and Tomas Akenine-Moller (Lund, Sweden).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The technology disclosed herein involves using a transformation curve to modify colors of images so that those images are more easily viewed by persons with a color vision deficiency (CVD).
