ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,485,161, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to Nutramax Laboratories Inc. (Lancaster, S.C.).

"Compositions comprising sulforaphane or a sulforaphane precursor and a milk thistle extract or powder" was invented by Brian Cornblatt (Westminster, Md.), Grace Cornblatt (Westminster, Md.), Anton Bzhelyansky (Baltimore) and Robert Henderson (Street, Md.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention relates to the combination of a sulforaphane precursor, an enzyme capable of converting the sulforaphane precursor to sulforaphane, an enzyme potentiator, and a milk thistle extract or powder.
