US Patent Issued to NUtech Ventures on Jan. 20 for "Hemp based geopolymer compositions and methods of use thereof" (Nebraska Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,528,740, issued on Jan. 20, was assigned to NUtech Ventures (Lincoln, Neb.).

"Hemp based geopolymer compositions and methods of use thereof" was invented by Marc Maguire (Omaha, Neb.) and Mohammad Mastali (Omaha, Neb.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided here are hemp-based concrete compositions and methods of production of these compositions. These compositions contain an aggregate containing coarse hemp hurd and an alkali-activated binder including a hemp powder derived from a woody core of a hemp plant."
