ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,324,539, issued on June 10, was assigned to Nuni Toaster Inc. (Chicago).
"Tortilla toaster" was invented by Elliot Benitez (Chicago).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An improved tortilla toaster that batch heats on two sides simultaneously up to six tortillas where each tortilla is held an optimal distance away from heating source and the oven is unloaded by barrel-rolling the oven assembly so as to avail of gravity and tortilla shape to unload the oven."
The patent was filed on Oct. 15, 2018, under Application No. 16/161,040.
