ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,461,322, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to Nubis Communications Inc. (New Providence, N.J.).

"Communication systems having pluggable modules" was invented by Peter Johannes Winzer (Aberdeen, N.J.), Peter James Pupalaikis (Ramsey, N.J.) and Brett Michael Dunn Sawyer (Pasadena, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system includes a substrate on which a data processor and a connector block are mounted. The connector block has a first array of electrical connectors on a first surface, and a second array of electrical conducts on a second surface that is oriented at an angle between 45deg to 135deg relative to a main surface of the substrat...
