ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,313,893, issued on May 27, was assigned to Nubis Communications Inc. (New Providence, N.J.).

"Optical fiber cable and raceway therefor" was invented by Peter Johannes Winzer (Aberdeen, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided are (i) a fiber-optic cable having a cable sheath that enables significant changes in the cable's cross-sectional shape when the cable is bent and (ii) a raceway that can be used to deploy such a fiber-optic cable."

The patent was filed on March 17, 2021, under Application No. 17/912,443.
