US Patent Issued to NTT DOCOMO on Sept. 30 for "Doppler spread based beam measurement and reporting for high speed mobility" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,432,574, issued on Sept. 30, was assigned to NTT DOCOMO Inc. (Tokyo).

"Doppler spread based beam measurement and reporting for high speed mobility" was invented by Haralabos Papadopoulos (Tokyo), Nadisanka Rupasinghe (Tokyo) and Yuki Matsumura (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A terminal is disclosed including a processor that measures for beam management: a Doppler spread or a coherence time associated with a beam and one or more reporting quantities. The terminal also includes a transceiver that reports the Doppler spread or the coherence time. In other aspects, a method for a terminal and a base station are also disclosed."
