ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,494,836, issued on Dec. 9, was assigned to NTT DOCOMO Inc. (Tokyo).

"Radio base station and terminal" was invented by Daisuke Kurita (Tokyo), Hiroki Harada (Tokyo) and Satoshi Nagata (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A BS (100) receives, from UE (200B), terminal location information indicating a location of the UE (200B). The BS (100) selects an antenna beam for the UE (200A) to be transmitted from the BS (100) based on the terminal location information."

The patent was filed on March 19, 2020, under Application No. 17/911,952.
