US Patent Issued to Novozymes on July 22 for "Process for preparing an acidified milk product" (Danish Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,364,273, issued on July 22, was assigned to Novozymes A/S (Bagsvaerd, Denmark).

"Process for preparing an acidified milk product" was invented by Hanna Maria Lilbaek (Copenhagen, Denmark), Hans Peter Heldt-Hansen (Virum, Denmark) and Jens Magnus Eklof (Frederiksberg, Denmark).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to preparation of an acidified milk product using a transglutaminase and a trypsin-like or lysine-specific endopeptidase."

The patent was filed on June 26, 2020, under Application No. 17/617,035.
