ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. RE50,404, issued on April 29, was assigned to Novozymes North America Inc. (Franklinton, N.C.).

"Fermentation product production processes" was invented by Mads Torry Smith (Raleigh, N.C.), John Ress (Youngsville, N.C.), Kevin S. Wenger (Rolesville, N.C.) and Rikke Monica Festersen (Herlev, Denmark).
