ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,258,680, issued on March 25, was assigned to Novartis AG (Basel, Switzerland).

"Solid support" was invented by Frederic Berst (Altkirch, France) and Yves Ruff (Strasbourg, France).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A solid support for use in non-aqueous DNA-conjugated molecule reactions, wherein the support comprises a solid body formed from a plurality of polyethylene glycol units, wherein the solid body includes at least one cationic moiety."

The patent was filed on May 17, 2019, under Application No. 17/055,733.
