ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,357,925, issued on July 15, was assigned to NOVA PRIMARY MANUFACTURING Ltd. (Leicester, Great Britain).

"Affinity chromatography" was invented by Andrew Richard Russell Prewer (Norfolk, Great Britain).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "This invention relates to a method of removing a chemical entity from a liquid using affinity chromatography. The method involves passing an elongate solid phase through a conduit through which the liquid also flows."

The patent was filed on Feb. 5, 2019, under Application No. 16/967,307.
