ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,371,396, issued on July 29, was assigned to NOVA Chemicals (International) S.A. (Fribourg, Switzerland).
"Catalytic conversion of carbon dioxide" was invented by Vasily Simanzhenkov (Calgary, Canada), Shahin Goodarznia (Calgary, Canada) and Bolaji Olayiwola (Calgary, Canada).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system and method for converting carbon dioxide into products by contacting the carbon dioxide with catalyst in the presence of hydrogen in a reactor."
The patent was filed on Sept. 24, 2020, under Application No. 17/642,774.
