ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,447,239, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to Northwestern University (Evanston, Ill.).
"3D-printed bioresorbable all-polymer composite soft tissue scaffolds" was invented by Banu Akar (Evanston, Ill.), Henry Oliver T. Ware (Evanston, Ill.), Cheng Sun (Wilmette, Ill.) and Guillermo A. Ameer (Chicago).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided herein photo-reactive inks, thermal-curable materials and objects (e.g., medical implants, scaffolds, devices, etc.) made therefrom, and methods of preparation and use thereof."
The patent was filed on Jan. 29, 2020, under Application No. 17/310,290.
