ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,325,884, issued on June 10, was assigned to Northwestern University (Evanston, Ill.).

"Riboswitch-based fluoride sensing in cell-free extract" was invented by Julius B. Lucks (Evanston, Ill.), Walter M. Thavarajah (Chicago), Adam D. Silverman (Chicago) and Michael C. Jewett (Evanston, Ill.).
